I'm excited by the announcment of Kudu 1.0 having been using it in beta.
I've been trying to find out if there are any plans to bundle Kudu 1.0 in an upcoming releaes of CDH.
Does anybody have any info on that please?

We don't have a date or timeframe we can share for inclusion in CDH, but I'm wondering what your real need is. Is it just that you'd rather not have to download the packages/parcels? Would your need be satisfied if Kudu was separate but still automatically available in Cloudera Manager's parcels list? Or are you looking for support? The latter can still happen without the full inclusion.

I tried installing using Cloudera Manager and noticed that the documentation doesn’t state the URL to enter in the Parcel Settings. So, I just re-used the old one for the beta, but there is an annoying reminder that Kudu is still beta. Is there a new parcel URL that is not for the beta?

The documentation doesn't state the URL because it is provided by installing the CSD, as the first step here: http://www.cloudera.com/documentation/betas/kudu/l
In other words, no need to play with the URL.
Kudu support is still in Beta for Cloudera, so those reminders won't go away with 1.0. This is to differentiate with products that we do support for our customers.
Hope this helps,

It just took a while, but after removing the URL from the parcel settings, the KUDU parcel in the list of parcels disappeared at first and then returned.

The URL you pasted is for Impala Kudu, the URL you need (but shouldn't have to set if you have the CSD installed, and you need it) is:

I am unable to install the parcel. Downloaded the Custom Service Descriptor (CSD) file for Kudu and upload it to /opt/cloudera/csd/ on the Cloudera Manager server. Restarted the Cloudera Manager. When I try to install the packages from HOST-->Parce, I do not see any KUDU parcel at all. Can anyone tell me how did they install?
