Decommission status showing 0 instead of 1

[ Edited ]

Hello,

I have installed apache hadoop in vmware and added one datanode.

After that i have decomission one datanode and showing decomission status as decomissioned. when i use hadoop dfsadmin -report command and dead node is one.

output

When i check the status from webserver i.e http://master:50070 it's showing decommission status as zero value instead of 1. I am expecting that decommission value shoud be 1 instead of zero.

Why value showing as 0 instead of 1?

Do you have two datanodes intially and you decided to decommision one datanode .

correct me if am wrong about my understanding  .

I believ you are referring to  decommisioning nodes in Web Ui - which is zero

because it states that there is  currently zero nodes getting decommisioned . hence it is zero

if you see the dead node - u will see one because u did one already as per your statement .

if you see conflicts then i would suggest you to perform a restart on the namenode if that is something you would consider .
