Installation failed on all hosts

Uninstalled on 4 host(s) after installation failure.while initial installation of "CDH-5.10.1-1.cdh5.10.1.p0.10"

Installation failed. Failed to receive heartbeat from agent.

1.Ensure that the host's hostname is configured properly.

2.Ensure that port 7182 is accessible on the Cloudera Manager Server (check firewall rules).

3.Ensure that ports 9000 and 9001 are not in use on the host being added.

4.Check agent logs in /var/log/cloudera-scm-agent/ on the host being added. (Some of the logs can be found in the installation details).

5.If Use TLS Encryption for Agents is enabled in Cloudera Manager (Administration -> Settings -> Security), ensure that /etc/cloudera-scm-agent/config.ini has use_tls=1 on the host being added. Restart the corresponding agent and click the Retry link here.

Here is the output in the file /etc/hosts:

10.32.38.203    client1 client1.poc-demo.tst
10.32.38.204    client2 client2.poc-demo.tst
10.32.38.205    client3 client3.poc-demo.tst
10.32.38.218    client4 client4.poc-demo.tst

[root@client4 ~]# netstat -a| grep 7182
tcp        0      0 *:7182                      *:*                         LISTEN
[root@client4 ~]#

SSLError: unknown protocol

Here are the steps you should go one by one in order to troubleshoot this error:

http://www.yourtechchick.com/hadoop/failed-receive-heartbeat-agent-cloudera-hadoop/

Tried all the above on CentOS 6.5 and fixed all the above but STILL FAILS on all the four nodes.

Re: Installation failed on all hosts

Are you trying to use SSL/TLS?

If yes, can you share agent configs and your Cloudera Manager TLS settings? Also, a listing with permissions of the certificate, key, truststore, and java keystore files?

Re: Installation failed on all hosts

no, not trying to do. I just click "Next" to proceed.

there's openssl with it in CentOS 6.7

[root@client2 user2c2]# openssl version
OpenSSL 1.0.1e-fips 11 Feb 2013
