Hi,

I checked manually the version of hadoop on each hosts which is same.

Installing using Cloudera Manager, all the packages were installated successfully.

Re: No CDH version detected| Cloudera manual installation

@Shrilesh

Could you check if you have multiple Java being installed in your node,

this could also be the issue .

/usr/lib/jvm

or

 -alternatives --config java

if you have OpenJdk then it could also be the issue.

Just remove all Openjdks and have one java with 1.7 or higher.

Hi Guna,

Thanks for the reply!! , will check this.

http://archive.cloudera.com/cm5/redhat/7/x86_64/cm/5/RPMS/x86_64/cloudera-manager-daemons-5.11.0-1.c...: [Errno -1] Package does not match intended download. Suggestion: run yum --enablerepo=cloudera-manager clean metadata
Trying other mirror.

Error downloading packages:
cloudera-manager-daemons-5.11.0-1.cm5110.p0.101.el7.x86_64: [Errno 256] No more mirrors to try.

Tried multiple times on different hosts, seeing this errror on all the hosts since past 2 days. Can you please let me know what can be done in this case.

Manually i am able to download this rpm.

Re: No CDH version detected| Cloudera manual installation

I had the same issue last week , it was due poor internert connectivity or  issue with cloudera mirrors.

it will find another alternative mirros if it couldnt find one .

so you mean to say that you had uninstalled everything and going  for fresh install ?

I am 100% confident that it is due to multiple java being installed in that particular node , you could have find it yum also by doing a search.

Re: No CDH version detected| Cloudera manual installation

Hi Guna,

Thanks for the quick response.

Yes, i am going for fresh install.

I was just able to install cdh manager on a test node successfully. Now trying it on my actual manager host.

I see , my hosts only has 1 Java version installed.

[root@clmgr-01 ~]# ll /usr/lib/jvm
total 0

Re: No CDH version detected| Cloudera manual installation

Sounds good . :)

Make sure all your repos are disabled except Cloudera , because when you reboot your systems its going to update its yum if some other applications needs java then its gonna push all the openjdks and you might fall in trouble .

I usually make it disable and enable repo when I want . Just quick tip mate . to have hassel free hadoop admin JOb :))

Re: No CDH version detected| Cloudera manual installation

Hi Guna,

I tried fresh install again, but again its stuck at same point. As suggested, i dont see multiple java versions installed.

I am able to telnte the cloudera manager agent port (9000) from the Cloudera manager hosts to other cluster hosts running agent.

When checked manually i see same version across all hosts.

[root@myhost ~]# hadoop version
Hadoop 2.6.0-cdh5.11.0
Subversion http://github.com/cloudera/hadoop -r 91a488f2c5abb3de0e6ee74080dbc439c7576fb4
Compiled by jenkins on 2017-04-06T03:02Z
Compiled with protoc 2.5.0
From source with checksum 1d879599e1ae47be77ed9f8b55ce9dbc
This command was run using /usr/lib/hadoop/hadoop-common-2.6.0-cdh5.11.0.jar

But still seeing below error during insatallation :

Could you paste the error ?

 /etc/yum.repos.d/cloudera-manager.repo

Check the repo based on your Operating System.
