How to update bootstrap script post deployment

We use the bootstrap-remote command to deploy clusters and encountered a scenario where we needed to update the bootstrapScripts defined in the customer config file so that new scale worker nodes nodes would run the new script when deployed.

We've moved the bulk of script logic out of the the customer config and simply added a snippet in the bootstrap section to copy the scripts from S3 - however, I'd still like to know if there is a way to update bootstrapScript, instancePostCreateScripts, PostCreateScript, etc. post deployment.

Thanks!

Re: How to update bootstrap script post deployment

Unfortunatly at the moment there is no way to update the scripts for an existing instance. An alternate option, although a bit painful, is to create a new instance group (with the same roles and configs) with the new bootstrap scripts and then delete the old instance group. However this will not work for the post create scripts since these are not specified at the instance level.

Re: How to update bootstrap script post deployment

Thank you for the response.  I believe our solution of sourcing the script content from S3 will address our concerns for now.
