cloudera director GUI fail to bootstrap the cluster on AWS

hi 

I am trying to bootstrap a cluster with 2 master, 3 worker and 1 gateway node. However it just failed and have the following error. Any idea?

 

ClouderaManagerException{message="API call to Cloudera Manager failed. Method=RolesResource.createRoles. Response Status Code: 400. Message: { "message" : "The maximum number of instances (1) of role type BALANCER has been reached." }. - Cause: javax.ws.rs.BadRequestException HTTP 400 Bad Request",causeClass=class javax.ws.rs.BadRequestException, causeMessage="HTTP 400 Bad Request"}

Are you trying to add more than 1 HDFS Balancer role? Based on the exception message it looks like that role needs to be in a group that has 1 node.

Also since your dealing with multiple masters, I assume your attempting to create a High Availability cluster which is a more complex setup. You can refer to this doc and this sample reference for more information on HA.
