I have installed CDH 5.7 on virtual box and trying to start cloudera manager services, but they fail saying following:
1 Validation Error. Service mgmt has 0 Reports Managers. Cloudera Management Service requires at least 1 Reports Manager.
When I try to start the management services still throws this error, Please help me to get rid of this error, as I am practicing some admin stuff on CDH 5.7 though Cloudera Manager

Add the reports manager role:
In Cloudera Manager, Click Clusters --> Cloudera Management Service
Click the "Instances" sub-tab
Click the "Add Role Instances" button on the right
Follow the wizard to add the role to the host of your choice.
After that, management service roles should start.

I tried doing the steps with following details
database host name : quickstart.cloudera
database type Mysql
But was not sure of the database name, user name, password.
Then went into terminal, loged into Mysql using
$mysql -uroot -pcloudera
And then listed all databases using mysql> show databases;
use one of them mysql> use database_name;
And then listed all tables using mysql> show tables;
created a table name as reportdb.
used table name as Reportdb, user as root and password as cloudera to create the report manager role succesfully.
This is just the next steps in the same chain. I thought it is better to keep it updated that might help people to see that.

I am not sure what the reportdb table is. What problems are you having with your Reports Manager? Please include screen shots or any errors.
