Cloudera Installation - Not able to download parcles

Hello All,

We are tying to install Cloudera 5.8.5 on Linux 7 using Cloudera manager.  We selected parcles based installation , but while Installation we are getting below error on all 3 hosts what we are using.

We  checked proxy settings it is below. When we use below path (https://archive...) direct on node using

wget https://archive .... it is able to download the file.

What else can be checked to resolve this issue.

Error -

failure: repodata/repomd.xml from cloudera-cdh5: [Errno 256] No more mirrors to try.

https://archive.cloudera.com/cdh5/redhat/7/x86_64/cdh/5.8.5/repodata/repomd.xml: [Errno 12] Timeout on

https://archive.cloudera.com/cdh5/redhat/7/x86_64/cdh/5.8.5/repodata/repomd.xml: (28, 'Connection timed out after 30001 milliseconds')

Proxy -

export http_proxy="http://16.168.30.201:8080"

export https_proxy="https://16.168.30.201:8080"

export http_proxy=${http_proxy}

export https_proxy=${https_proxy}

Re: Cloudera Installation - Not able to download parcles

@RohitMathur,

The error you are getting is from "yum". Make sure you have configured yum for your proxy on all nodes.  If setting http_proxy at the command line is not working for you, try using /etc/yum.conf.  It could be that the profile you used with wget is not loaded when CM is initiating the yum command.
