Cloudera Manager cannot kill queries

[ Edited ]

Hi all

I'm not able to kill Yarn applicantions or Impala queries from user interface in Cloudera Manager(5.4.0).

When I try to kill a query in Impala, I receice "Error communicating with the Impala Daemon."

In Yarn instead I receive apparently no errors, but the query is not killed.

Which type of logs can I investigate? Which user is executing the kill command? (cloudera-scm???)

I know that exist a yarn shell command for killing application, but is it available an equivalent one for Impala?

My cluster is kerberized.

Thanks in advance,

Lorenzo

You should be able to navigate to cloudera server logs to find out .

to kill the actual impala query you can do that in impala daemon web ui

I failed to find a solution so I end up canceling the query using impala daemon web ui
