Kerberos: Generate Credentials fails

Hi,

I have followed the manual to enable Kerberos from Cloudera Manager, Cloudera version 5.5.x.

I have reached a problem I can not solve, at the step 8/9 when it tries to Generate Credentials, it gives the following error:

/usr/share/cmf/bin/gen_credentials.sh failed with exit code 1 and output of <<
+ export PATH=/usr/kerberos/bin:/usr/kerberos/sbin:/usr/lib/mit/sbin:/usr/sbin:/sbin:/usr/sbin:/bin:/usr/bin
+ PATH=/usr/kerberos/bin:/usr/kerberos/sbin:/usr/lib/mit/sbin:/usr/sbin:/sbin:/usr/sbin:/bin:/usr/bin
+ CMF_REALM=MYCLUSTER.CZ
+ KEYTAB_OUT=/var/run/cloudera-scm-server/cmf4729318849387664589.keytab
+ PRINC=hive/node6.mycluster.cz@MYCLUSTER.CZ
+ MAX_RENEW_LIFE=432000
+ KADMIN='kadmin -k -t /var/run/cloudera-scm-server/cmf3084446033256192943.keytab -p cloudera-scm/admin@MYCLUSTER.CZ -r MYCLUSTER.CZ'
+ RENEW_ARG=
+ '[' 432000 -gt 0 ']'
+ RENEW_ARG='-maxrenewlife "432000 sec"'
+ '[' -z /var/run/cloudera-scm-server/krb58051630284919836680.conf ']'
+ echo 'Using custom config path '\''/var/run/cloudera-scm-server/krb58051630284919836680.conf'\'', contents below:'
+ cat /var/run/cloudera-scm-server/krb58051630284919836680.conf
+ kadmin -k -t /var/run/cloudera-scm-server/cmf3084446033256192943.keytab -p cloudera-scm/admin@MYCLUSTER.CZ -r MYCLUSTER.CZ -q 'addprinc -maxrenewlife "432000 sec" -randkey hive/node6.mycluster.cz@MYCLUSTER.CZ'
kadmin: GSS-API (or Kerberos) error while initializing kadmin interface

Please, any idea what might be the problem?

Thanks,

Tomas

Re: Kerberos: Generate Credentials fails

Solved. Not all services were properly stopped by the Cloudera Manager, so I needed to stop them manually, this helped.
