Recently I upgraded my CDH from 5.4.8 to 5.9.2. After few problems in between the installation successully upgraded.

But When I enter into the HIVE CLI its loading the old configuration files from 5.4.8

Re: Hive CLI referering old versions jars

I would first try removing the Hive gateway from that host and then redeploying it.  The old files may still remain though.  If you are good with removing the old files you could deactivate the and remove the old parcel or packages.  You may want to do that inbetween removing and readding the Hive gateway.
