CONN_0007:Connector registration fail

I recieve the following error when trying to start sqoop from the cloudera manager:

Server startup failure
org.apache.sqoop.common.SqoopException: CONN_0007:Connector registration failed

What can I do to resolve this?

Re: CONN_0007:Connector registration fail

Hi Charles,

It looks like that the Sqoop service are connecting to a database with lower version schema.

Caused by: org.apache.sqoop.common.SqoopException: JDBCREPO_0026:Upgrade required but not allowed - Connector: generic-jdbc-connector

Please go to Cloudera Manager --> Sqoop service, click the "Actions" button and then choose "Upgrade Sqoop". After that, please check whether you can start Sqoop service now.
