CCA 175 Minimum hardware configuration

Hi All,

I'm looking to take the CCA175 Exams soon.

I ran the compatibility tool on my system and it kept showing the Internet speed tests failed.

I intend using my local wifi which ranges from 1MBps to 2MBPs in upload and download speeds.

It states that required minimum speeds are 500KBps for Download and 256Kbps for upload speeds but keeps failing when I run the test on the examslocal site.

I'd like to know if it is absolutely imperative I find somewhere where I can get speeds upwards of 5Mbps download or I'm okay with what I currently have stated above.

NOTE: This is important to me because I'm currently in Nigeria and we are notorious for poor internet infrastructure generally.

Would appreciate a concise response in this regard.

Re: CCA 175 Minimum hardware configuration

I know that my personal internet often times does not perform at the described speeds my provider claims. There could be multiple factors at play during a speed test including but not limited to:

  • Type of internet (DSL, cable, satellite, cellular, etc)
  • System connection to the internet (wifi, ethernet, tethered)
  • Other systems sharing the service (yours or high demand of the provider)

Since I haven't tried the speed test myself, is there simply a pass and fail or some more detailed result you can share?

Re: CCA 175 Minimum hardware configuration

Hi @cjervis

I use cable internet,

Connect locally using a Wifi connection.

I ran a CLI test using speedtest and have the results shown below.

My question is, would these speeds enable me take this exam from home?

It would be more convenient for me and to be honest I doubt I can get much better than this locally.

Thanks

Re: CCA 175 Minimum hardware configuration

I would refer you back to the compatability test results. My comment was to outline reasons why it may be failing.
