CCA 175 exam cluster

Hi,

I appeared in the CCA175. The main problem I faced couldn't understand that do I need to mention any particular uri while reading the data from hdfs. because in scala questions it was always giving the error "input path doesn't exist...."  . I have practiced on cloudera VM and there i never face such a problem. it ruined my all test.

and another query is that is there any other jdbc:url to connect to mysql. because in VM we always use

 "jdbc:mysql://quickstart.cloudera:3306/<database-name>"

How can be find the url name on cluster??

these two major connectivity issues ruined my exam and now I have to wait for next one month.

Another request to cloudera team is that please improve the font size if exam contents. It was very tough to read the contents.

Thanks

Each of the scenarios that you are asked to solve have a section called Data Description that give you everything you need to know about the data, including the HDFS locations.

Similarly, each scenario that involved using an external database has a section that details all the information for making a connection to that database, including location, username, and password.

This forum is not the proper place to discuss exam questions.  I am sending you a private email with more specific details of why you failed those questions.

The best resource for the CCA175 is Cloudera's website.  http://www.cloudera.com/training/certification/cca-spark.html

If you have further questions you can ask them here, or you can write to certification@cloudera.com

Re: CCA 175 exam cluster

I just gave the CCA 175 and I too could not figure out the JDBC connection parameters for the gateway. Would someone from Cloudera pl let me know how I can get this information? Thanks in advance!
