CDH 5.5 quickstart doesn't boot up, freezes at CentOs screen; worked fine last moth

My VM CDH 5.5 quickstart was working perfectly fine yesterday night, but this morning it doesn't start up the usual way:
It stops after having loaded the white bar of CentOs (I'm using the RedHat 6.5 64 bit). If I press Esc, or Alt+Tab, the processes are loaded normally, all with [ ok ], but after " starting hue [   ok   ]", it restarts from scratch and keeps looping in this endless booting.

Restarting both my laptop and the machine has done nothing and I am desperate for solutions, as I have a very close deadline this week.

PS. one weird thing I see during the booting up is that there is some pure code, starting with an "if(first time boot up)..."

EDIT: here are the last lines the log prints before freezing:

I will reply myself, as the support here is the most terrible I've seen in years.

The problem was a memory one on my laptop: since I had reserved 5GB with a 8GB memory, it simply stopped loading when I have 4GB already occupied.

The steps I took anyway which may have somewhat made the trick are:
-reinstalled cloudera quickstart 5.5 and then mounted the VHD

-stopped some services from starting (the ones I don't use: Impala, Hive, Oozie)

-waited. A lot.

I am sorry that you did not receive assistance in a timely manner @Vale. The Cloudera Community is a peer to peer forum so there is a chance of a post going unanswered. Cloudera employees do help out in their spare time as well but it is not their primary function. For users who are not currently support customers and wish to receive assistance from Cloudera via the community, there is the Cloudera Developer program as an option.

Best of luck with your project.

All I had to do was wait about 15 minutes for the start-up process to complete.
