Hadoop namenode dies when hdfs commands are invoked

Hi,

When i try 'hadoop fs -ls' command in my cloudera quickstart I am facing the below error.

18/09/29 12:41:29 WARN ipc.Client: Failed to connect to server: quickstart.cloudera/10.0.2.15:8020: try once and fail.
java.net.ConnectException: Connection refused

at org.apache.hadoop.net.NetUtils.connect(NetUtils.java:494)
at org.apache.hadoop.ipc.Client$Connection.setupConnection(Client.java:648)

I noticed that the status of my namenode is 'FAILED'. After restart, I confirmed that the namenode is up and again tried with 'hadoop fs -ls' and namenode again went for failed status. So what i find is that when i try with hadoop command my namenode fails.

Please let me know on any solution for this issue.
