First, confirm that you have a 64-bit version of Windows 8 installed. That is required.
After downloading the VM and unpacking it, just select Player > File > Open in VMware Player and point it to your file.

Welcome to the community @nareshm. Check out our Community Knowledge article on how to install the Quickstart VM. It contains some common issues such as yours and should be able to help you out. Best of luck.

OK, I see a couple of issues in the screen shot. One of which is covered in the Community Knowledge article I suggested and also in the message you are receiving.
1. The amount of RAM allocated to the VM is not sufficient to run Cloudera Manager. Cloudera Manager requires at least 8GB of RAM allocated to the VM (which is different than RAM allocated to the system the VM is installed on). If you are attempting to use a trail version of Cloudera Enterprise, that requires a minimum of 10GB of RAM allocated to the VM.
2. The allocated processors for the VM are not enough for Cloudera Manager. Cloudera Manager requires at least 2 virtual processors allocated to the VM.
I hope this helps.
