Installation steps for Hadoop in Windows 8 , 64 bit

Hi all,

 

Thanks for the hearty welcome.

To learn the Hadoop tool, i have downloaded the "cloudera-quickstart-vm-4.7.0-0-virtualbox.7z" setup.

Do i have to install any to proceed further.

 

I am using windows 8, 64 bit , 4 GB RAM.

You will also need VirtualBox installed, I assume you have that?

 

Also, confirm that virtualization is enabled in your OS.
