Hi,

I'm currently working as a data engineer on an Analytics use case and we picked Cloudera as our Hadoop stack. I have started my career as a C++/Java developer and then moved into the data warehouse / data integration space. I've dabbled a little in Big Insights with some real small projects using sqoop, hive, big SQL, and pig. I'm quite new to the Cloudera stack and excited on the learning opportunities.

Hi,

My name is Steve I am an Oracle DBA who is getting to grips(well trying) with Hadoop.

I work for a Bank and we have just installed 2x11 node clusters and I am looking to build a team to support it.

I am also trying to understand data loading and ETL processes using the hadoop tools like sqoop
