CDH5 install

Hi all, I am trying to do the install on a 4 machine cluster as per http://www.cloudera.com/documentation/enterprise/latest/topics/cm_ig_install_path_b.html?scroll=cmig...

But one question is which of these steps are to be done only on the Cloudera Manager Server host and which steps to be done on all machines.

Appreciate the insights.

Re: CDH5 install

If you are wanting to do the entire installation manually, following http://www.cloudera.com/documentation/enterprise/latest/topics/cm_ig_install_path_b.html?scroll=cmig... would be needed (on all hosts).

Otherwise, you can do all steps until that point and then install the hosts and cluster via the UI in the CM you've bought up, and it will automate the rest for you.

Re: CDH5 install

I am doing the install through cloudera manager and almost at every step I keep getting errors as below. Is this usual?
