Re: hdfs failed to start cloudera manager

@Abhiravilla,

I moved this to the forum where HDFS issues are discussed.

Basically, it appears that the cause of HDFS not starting properly is that the NameNode is refusing access from the DataNode when it tries to hearbeat in:

Datanode denied communication with namenode because the host is not in the include-list

Your datanode shows an IP address, not a hostname, so I assume your host is not configured to have a real hostname or something of the like.

Check your /etc/hosts and make sure you have a real hostname for your host (not listed on the 127.0.0.1 line).

The HDFS community should have a better idea of anything more to try.

the ip address has hostname localhost. I am trying to install it as a single node cluster. Screenshot from 2017-09-27 16-27-14.png
