Hue throws Alert and prevent job from execution without any message in the alert

hue_screen_shot.png

Hue prevents execution of the above query { from Impala & Hive} . The alert on the right provides no message , neither do the logs {runcpserver.log, access.log or server.log} .

Simpler query works on both impala & beeswax.

Enabled "Enable Django Debug Mode" to capture logs in debug mode not much help .

Restarted Hue but same error persits . I am using CDH 5.8.4 and Hue 3.9 that comes bundled with it .

Tried using different browser but same issue shows up in the other broswer as well ( chrome & mozzilla)

Below is the output of runcpserver.log

Re: Hue throws Alert and prevent job from execution without any message in the alert

Hi,

A couple of questions to understand the issue better:

- simpler queries mean SELECT *, SELECT COUNT(*) from a single table?

- Have you checked on HS2 and Impala daemon server logs to see if the query actually reached out to the backend server? Based on the Hue server log, does not look like so, but you might need to confirm

- have you tried to use firebug to capture the ajax call and see what was returned from server, there has to be some message some where

- have you checked if the issue is table specific? Maybe try to query each tables involved to isolate the issue.
