Hello -

Can you specify character column lengths when executing ddl (specifically create table statement) in Hadoop?

Is there any documentation on table datatypes?

Any input would be much appreciated.

I'm not seeing anything for specifying a length.

Example:

create table foo

(

name string(10)

)

create table foo

(

name string length=10

)

Something similar to able.
