Ambari Server process is not able to determine its PID.&lt;/STRONG&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;PRE&gt;Unable to determine server PID. Retrying... ......Unable to determine server PID&lt;/PRE&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&amp;gt;&amp;gt;&amp;gt;&amp;gt; For the PID issue, Can you please let us know if you are running Ambari Server as a "root" user or a Non Rot User?&lt;BR /&gt;If you are running the ambari-server as Non Root user then please refer to the doc to make sure the all the required steps are followed:&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;A href="https://docs.hortonworks.com/HDPDocuments/Ambari-2.5.2.0/bk_ambari-security/content/how_to_configure_ambari_server_for_non-root.html" target="_blank"&gt;https://docs.hortonworks.com/HDPDocuments/Ambari-2.5.2.0/bk_ambari-security/content/how_to_configure_ambari_server_for_non-root.html&lt;/A&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Also please check the directory if it's permissions are correct and writable?&lt;/P&gt;&lt;PRE&gt;# ls -ld /var/run/ambari-server
# ls -lart /var/run/ambari-server&lt;/PRE&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;STRONG&gt;Error-2).  Database setup Issue.&lt;/STRONG&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;PRE&gt;Caused by: java.lang.RuntimeException: Error while creating database accessor
at org.apache.ambari.server.orm.DBAccessorImpl.&amp;lt;init&amp;gt;(DBAccessorImpl.java:120)&lt;/PRE&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;This indicates an issue with Ambari DB setup. So please let us know if you are running ambari server with default Embedded Postgres DB or you have configured Non Default DB?&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Also please share the output of the following command:&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;PRE&gt;# grep 'jdbc' /etc/ambari-server/conf/ambari.properties.&lt;/PRE&gt;</description>
