      <description>&lt;P&gt;Thanks for your quick response.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;* I checked "/etc/yum.repos.d/ambari.repo" and it does have enabled flag = 1. However I do not have any ambari.repo file in /tmp.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;* I did "yum clean all", checked ambari appears in repolist and ran "yum install ambari-server", but still the same failure.&lt;/P&gt;</description>

# cat /etc/yum.repos.d/hdp.repo&lt;/PRE&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;EM&gt;Clean all the cached files from any enabled repository at once&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;/EM&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;PRE&gt;yum clean all&lt;/PRE&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;EM&gt;Check the repolist&lt;/EM&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;PRE&gt;yum repolist &lt;/PRE&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;EM&gt;The retry the &lt;BR /&gt;&lt;/EM&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;PRE&gt;yum install -y ambari-server&lt;/PRE&gt;</description>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;wget command works fine and downloads repomd.xml.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;grep for 'proxy' returns nothing.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Actually I'm working from home, so usual corporate network restrictions do not apply in my case.&lt;/P&gt;</description>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;Just to filter possibility of any issues with the setup of that particular instance of Centos, I tried installing on another instance as well, but it still fails.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Also to nullify any connection issues, I tried curl on the GPG key from ambari.repo - it works fine and downloads the key.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Surprise.. Surprise.. I just tried Ambari 2.0.0 installation and it works fine.. So it may be problem with Ambari 2.5.2.0 (In fact entire 2.x I think) repository.&lt;/P&gt;</description>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;please correct the repo file path. 2.5.2.0 also works fine with corrected path. Observer ppc in the path correct it for ambari. Than you should be good. I have done this for RHEL 7.&lt;/P&gt;</description>
