VirtualBox is running on Windows 10 laptop. Under user maria_dev with password maria_dev everything works perfectly. <PRE>$ ssh maria_dev@127.0.0.1 -p 2222 maria_dev@127.0.0.1's password: Last login: Sun Jan 6 23:03:10 2019 from 10.0.2.2 [maria_dev@sandbox ~]$</PRE>If I try to login as root with following string:$ ssh root@127.0.0.1 -p 2222with password hadoop login is unsuccessful with following message: Permission denied, please try again.<PRE>$ ssh root@127.0.0.1 -p 2222 root@127.0.0.1's password: Permission denied, please try again. root@127.0.0.1's password:</PRE>The same issue when I tried to substitute user with command su root under user maria_dev but message a bit different: su: incorrect password<PRE>$ ssh maria_dev@127.0.0.1 -p 2222 maria_dev@127.0.0.1's password: Last login: Sun Jan 6 23:18:02 2019 from 10.0.2.2 [maria_dev@sandbox ~]$ su root Password: su: incorrect password [maria_dev@sandbox ~]$</PRE>At the same time root/hadoop works fine in VM terminal (tty1).
