    <description>&lt;P&gt;These changes did make things run about 2x as fast but still not even close compared to what it was before.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;So as stated below think I'm going to stick with the 2 stage process.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Sqoop MSQL -&amp;gt; HDFS&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Hbase importtsv HDFS -&amp;gt; Hbase&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Richard&lt;/P&gt;</description>
