      <description>&lt;P&gt;Hi&amp;nbsp;&lt;a href="https://community.cloudera.com/t5/user/viewprofilepage/user-id/99534"&gt;@Big-dAta&lt;/a&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;A simple test would be a ping test from the source node to the target node.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;#ping &amp;lt;ip-address-of-target-node&amp;gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;You can also use Telnet to check if the other node is listening on a specific port.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;# telnet &amp;lt;ip-address-of-target-node&amp;gt; &amp;lt;port&amp;gt;&lt;/P&gt;</description>
