      <title>Hiveserver2 started but not listening 10000</title>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;hiveserver2 is working on ubuntu but not on RHEL7(Redhat)&lt;BR /&gt;Checked port with lsof -f:10000 and&amp;nbsp;&lt;SPAN&gt;beeline -u jdbc:hive2://localhost:10000&lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;in redhat, It is just giving me&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;WARN&lt;BR /&gt;JNDI lookup class&lt;BR /&gt;is not available because this JRE does not support&lt;BR /&gt;JNDI.&lt;BR /&gt;JNDI string lookups will not be available, continuing configuration.&lt;BR /&gt;Ignoring java.lang.ClassNotFoundException: org.apache.logging.log4j.core.lookup.JndiLookup&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;SPAN&gt;checked log4j2.properties and it is printing to console. I dont see any other log.&amp;nbsp;&lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;/P&gt;</description>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;I encountered the similar issue. I'm using hive 4.0.1&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;There are errors that isn't in console logs.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;My log location is&amp;nbsp;/tmp/hadoop/hive.log.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;If none of these log paths are correct, maybe you can use&amp;nbsp; find / -name 'hive.log' to find it.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Hope this helps&lt;/P&gt;</description>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;I found my logs in /tmp/chris/hive.log, so I suspect it would be /tmp/&amp;lt;username&amp;gt;/hive.log for whatever user hiveserver2 runs as.&lt;/P&gt;</description>

      <description>&lt;P class="lia-indent-padding-left-30px"&gt;Hive logging is configured on &lt;STRONG&gt;&lt;FONT face="courier new,courier"&gt;/etc/hive/conf/hive-log4j2.properties&lt;/FONT&gt;&lt;/STRONG&gt;.&amp;nbsp;Look for these:&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P class="lia-indent-padding-left-60px"&gt;&lt;STRONG&gt;&lt;FONT face="courier new,courier"&gt;property.hive.log.dir&lt;/FONT&gt;&lt;/STRONG&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;STRONG&gt;&lt;FONT face="courier new,courier"&gt;property.hive.log.file&lt;/FONT&gt;&lt;/STRONG&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P class="lia-indent-padding-left-30px"&gt;&lt;SPAN&gt;That is the log location you are looking for&lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P class="lia-indent-padding-left-30px"&gt;&lt;SPAN&gt;Thanks,&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;SPAN&gt;-JMP&amp;nbsp;&lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;/P&gt;</description>
