Hi Cloudera Cummenity,

This documentation lists the versions of components used in Cloudera CDP 7.1.9 SP1:

https://docs.cloudera.com/cdp-private-cloud-base/7.1.9/runtime-release-notes/topics/rt-pvc-runtime-component-versions-719sp1.html

The Hadoop version is 3.1.1.7.1.9.1000-103.

However, when I look at Apache Hadoop Website, I could not find the same version there:

The similar thing also happens for HBase:

So my question is, why can't I find the hadoop and hbase version that Cloudera CDP used from Apache Hadoop and HBase website?

Hi @MaraWang

CDP uses its own downstream versions of open-source projects like Hadoop and HBase. These versions are often forked from the upstream Apache projects. After forking, Cloudera applies additional patches, enhancements, security fixes, and compatibility improvements that are necessary for enterprise-grade stability and integration across the platform.

Because of this, the specific Hadoop or HBase versions you see in CDP may not match exactly with any version listed on the official Apache Hadoop or HBase websites. Instead, Cloudera maintains and supports its own versions to ensure a tested and supported ecosystem for customers.

I have another question. Currently I'm planning to install JanusGraph on my cluster. However, from the documentation of JanusGraph, it recommends Apache HBase 2.6.0, like the following figure shown:

So my question is: how could I know the corresponding Cloudera HBase version to Apache HBase 2.6.0?
