    <description>&lt;P&gt;That step tries to install the ambari agent and register it with the server.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Since this is a single node, your hostname may not be correct.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Is that host name in /etc/hosts?&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Is that the hostname returned by hostname -f on that node?&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Enter the hostname -f if that isn't the case.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;You can also install the ambari agent manually.       <description>&lt;P&gt;&lt;A rel="user" href="https://community.cloudera.com/users/1995/davidyee.html" nodeid="1995"&gt;@David Yee&lt;/A&gt; you need to have ambari-agent register with server correctly before launching cluster install. Find out why you can't register agent, either setup password less ssh or manually register agent. Refer to our docs for steps.&lt;/P&gt;</description>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;Thanks guys after much checking noticed that the /etc/hosts file IP address was not valid. Since I am using AWS the IP address keeps on changing and I need to change it everytime I restart the AWS service.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Thank You.&lt;/P&gt;</description>
