Here is the error log I get? On which nodes do we have to place the ambari.repo and hdp.repo files?

Your error log hasn't come through.

Ambari should deploy the repo files for you on any nodes added to the cluster.

@Saifullah Sajjad - While we await your error log, you just have to place ambari.repo on ambari server node. hdp.repo is not required on any of the nodes as Ambari server takes care of pushing the repos on all nodes that you designate as part of the cluster.

Thank you vsharma, I resolved the problem by getting an OS refresh on the server, I could not figure the root cause, I reckon it must have been something in the sshd config files.

But extremely grateful for your response.
