Unable to change the Background image in Cloudera VM

Dear All -

I'm new to CDH and successfully installed the CDH 5.4. And I tried to change the background default image but unable to do it.

Can you please help if you have faced this issue/scenario.

The command used to set the background is as follows:

gconftool-2 --direct --config-source xml:readwrite:/etc/gconf/gconf.xml.mandatory --type string --set /desktop/gnome/background/picture_filename '/usr/share/backgrounds/cloudera/wall_HD_logo.jpg'

I would imagine that should work if you change the filename to the desired image, even if setting it via GNOME's menus does not work (did you try that, by the way?)

Thanks for your response. I've tried this as a solution.

After I have restarted my VM and rebooted Cent Os I could see the changes!!!!.

The root password is 'cloudera' (any passwords remaining on the machine are the same).
