You can run below:&lt;/P&gt;&lt;PRE&gt;service ambari-agent restart&lt;/PRE&gt;&lt;P&gt;In general, on &lt;EM&gt;sandbox&lt;/EM&gt; use below to restart Ambari:&lt;/P&gt;&lt;PRE&gt;service ambari restart &lt;/PRE&gt;&lt;P&gt;On &lt;EM&gt;Ambari installed clusters&lt;/EM&gt; you should can use below to restart Ambari&lt;/P&gt;&lt;PRE&gt;service ambari-server restart &lt;/PRE&gt;</description>
