is it possible to upgrade Ranger to latest version while using HDP2.2.4 ?

Hello,

can Ranger be upgraded 'somehow' separately from 0.4 to 0.5 within HDP 2.2.4?

or is it just possible by upgrading the whole HDP stack to 2.3 ?

I'm afraid the only way to get the latest version and not lose support is to upgrade the whole stack @Gerd Koenig.
