What are "clients" shown under the components list?

On the host details page, I can see various clients listed as "Client / HBase Client, HCat Client...". I would like to understand what are these clients and what is their use?. I also see that some of the clients have a red rectangle against them.

@Pradeep kumar these are the client tools necessary to run commands like "hive", "pig", "hbase", "hcat", etc. That's how you interact with HDP services as a user or process.

See this ..When you click Host and you will see these value. You install them in edge node "We dont need to install clients in all the nodes"

Its like sqlplus in oracle or mysql in mysql server.

If you want to launch beeline then you type beeline

pig , hive and so on
