Atlas is a great data governance tool as it provides visibility into what data is and how it got there. What use case is Atlas being used for in production?

I see three major use cases in the field preparing generating Atlas content for production usage: Meta tagging for future Attribute Based Access Control with Ranger, Data Lineage auditing and linking business taxonomies to meta data for organizing and visualizing data structures of a enterprise.

++ you can configure Atlas in HA mode by using Hbase in HA mode to store the metadata rather than using off the shelf Titan that is used by default in Atlas. For larger clusters high availability might be a necessity. For more information please refer http://atlas.incubator.apache.org/HighAvailability.html
