impala connection errors ubuntu installation

I installed cdh4 parcels without impala.
later I installed impala parcel , its showing as active in manager.

I cant see any services though impala-shell shows version.

shell cant connect to localhost.

impala UI in hue also cannot connect, though it uses a different port than the impala shell.

is it firewall issue and how to find the logs.

any post install config needed? how to find the impala master and slave nodes in the manager UI?

Did you add an Impala Service? Parcels are only for installing binaries. If you want something to actually run, you need to add and configure the appropriate service.
