    <description>&lt;P&gt;Hi Anthony, &lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;You should modify /etc/hue/conf/hue.ini - please ensure there is only a log.conf &amp;amp; hue.ini in this location. This is because any ini files in here will be read in one by one ending in an overwriting of values.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;To check your most current configuration you can use:&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;/usr/lib/hue/build/env/bin/hue config_dump&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Thanks&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Dave&lt;/P&gt;</description>

      <title>changes made to hue.ini is not read by hue service</title>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;I have installed hue 2.6 on CentOS 6.5 and the changed I made to /etc/hue/conf.empty not reflecting in Hue UI configuration tab.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;anything I am missing? &lt;/P&gt;</description>

      <description>&lt;A rel="user" href="https://community.cloudera.com/users/11061/antonyshajin.html" nodeid="11061" target="_blank"&gt;@Antony Shajin Lucas&lt;/A&gt;&lt;P&gt;What are you trying to make changes in conf.empty?&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Hue installation Link: &lt;A href="http://docs.hortonworks.com/HDPDocuments/HDP2/HDP-2.4.2/bk_installing_manually_book/content/ch_installing_hue_chapter.html" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank"&gt;Hue Link&lt;/A&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;as per HDP document make configuration changes in /etc/hue/conf/hue.ini as re-start hue service&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Command to re-start:&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;service hue restart or service hue stop/start&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Ideally you will see like below the hue.ini and folder permissions, and directory location.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;span class="lia-inline-image-display-wrapper lia-image-align-inline" image-alt="5352-hue.png" style="width: 625px;"&gt;&lt;img src="https://community.cloudera.com/t5/image/serverpage/image-id/23617i7AC8D332B9392779/image-size/medium?v=v2&amp;amp;px=400" role="button" title="5352-hue.png" alt="5352-hue.png" /&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;here is the location for logs:&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;/var/log/hue/error.log&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;/var/log/hue/runcpserver.log&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;/var/log/hue/error.log&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;i hope this will help you.&lt;/P&gt;</description>
