question Unable to find an installation of R on the system on Hortonworks Sandbox HDP 2.4 in Archives of Support Questions (Read Only)

I just downloaded HDP 2.4 for virtual box. I ran the beginning of this tutorial, but then received the error:

'Unable to find an installation of R on the system'

Seriously? I just got rid of VMWare because Virtualbox is supposed to let us use Rstudio and port forward, but despite the claims it seems there is no R? What is the fix here and why am I experiencing this when I thought it came with the sandbox.

Thanks,
Heath
