How to update/Import Hive metadata into Apache Atlas in automated way ??

hey Guys,

Does Apache Atlas refreshes its metadata repository whenever any changes occurs in hive Database??

Let us consider a scenario where user A created a table in hive. Changes will reflect in Hive Database, but it seems that metadata in Apache Atlas doesn't refresh.After running import-hive.sh shell script,Hive metadata of Apache Atlas refreshes.

Are there any properties or configuration which needs to be changed to automate the update of metadata repository.Any help would be appreciated.

I am using Apache Atlas 0.5.0.2.3

You need to configure set of properties in atlas to make the auto update of metadata changes in hive. Please refer to HiveHook section in this link: http://atlas.incubator.apache.org/Bridge-Hive.html

I would also recommend you to upgrade to the latest version of Atlas( i.e; 0.7 ).
