I have a temporary fix for this. I uninstalled Accumulo. Since it forces a replication factor of 5, I had coped with this by changing the max blocks to 2. However, since I could not find the other file (
mapreduce.client.submit.file.replication
), I instead deleted the Accumulo service, and changed the max blocks back up to 10, or even 50. I think it will work for now, but I would really like to know what is going on here and how to find the .xml file that has the submit.file.replication. Also, did I actually need to adjust all these proxy users now?

Thank you in advance.
.

	Hello,

	I have launched my own 3-node cluster (2 slaves and 1 master) for testing and when I try to have a user operate Pig View, the script will fail to start (submit_failed). I should point out that the /user/obrien folder has been made prior to this.

File /user/obrien/pig/jobs/test_21-05-2017-12-21-48/stdout not found.

File /user/obrien/pig/jobs/test_21-05-2017-12-21-48/stderr not found.

I have browsed the forums and have tried many different things but have yet to find a solution.

	Here is the stack trace:

I have also reviewed: http://docs.hortonworks.com/HDPDocuments/Ambari-2.5.0.3/bk_ambari-views/content/setup_HDFS_proxy_user_pig_view.html

This has allowed me to adjust the permission of the user folders (777) and both the webhcat-site and hdf-site, to incude items such as:

hadoop.proxyuser.root.groups=*
hadoop.proxyuser.root.hosts=*
hadoop.proxyuser.hcat.groups=*
hadoop.proxyuser.hcat.hosts=*

webhcat.proxyuser.root.groups=*
webhcat.proxyuser.root.groups=*

I am at a loss at what to do next; the pig script still states that /stdout and /stderr cannot be found. When I tried this on the sandbox VM it seems those files are created automatically.

Could this have something to do with my blocks having a replication of 2 and some .xml file still locked at 10? I saw something about this in the error but I do not know how to navigate to that file.

Please let me know if you need other details for troubleshooting.

Thank you.
