During the AWS Quick Start for the Cloudera EDH 5, where can I change the Amazon Machine Image specification that enables it download R upon launch? In other words, I want to change the AMI so that R is installed directly upon launch.

This is blog post I am following: https://s3.amazonaws.com/quickstart-reference/cloudera/hadoop/latest/doc/Cloudera_EDH_on_AWS.pdf

Thanks.

There is no such AMI matained by Cloudera. You can install R using a custom bootstrap script that Director runs or build your own AMI with those bits pre-installed.
