Ranger Hive service permission "All"

"Permissions" in Ranger Hive service has "All".

Does "All" equal to "select" + "update" + "Create" + "Drop" + Alter" + "Index" + "Lock"?

Or, does it have other permissions?

In addition to the above it also has "Read" , "Write", "ReplAdmin" and "Service Admin" permissions as well.

By the way, why Ranger provides "All"?

I think providing "Select All/Deselect All" button is enough...

Is there any special reason to provide "All" option?

In current UI, we can select "update" and "All", for example. This is a little weird.

If you want to provide "All" permissions, selecting only "All" will suffice. if you want to give selected permissions, you can select the permissions you need. Yes. I agree that we can select "All" and "update" which may not be required. This is just a UI related thing but doesn't affect any permissions. Hope this helps.
