    <description>&lt;P&gt;thanks&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;I am using CM and I am migrating from 5.3 to 5.4&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;As always your advice is helpful&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;but as always I cannot see the migrate function in CM&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Why do they hide things so well&lt;/P&gt;</description>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;I have HUE 3.7 on cdh5.2 and I am migrating to a new cluster&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;The version of HUE is the same, cdh will be 5.4&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;all of my users on HUE is database (no LDAP,KERBEROS..)&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Instead of retyping all of the user names&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;can I just copy the sqllite desktop.db over and the users will appear?&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;or is there an export/ import script I can use to migrate my users and credentials&lt;/P&gt;</description>

      <description>If you use CDH the base version of Hue might be the same but Hue has much&lt;BR /&gt;more new stuff in 5.4 than 5.2.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;You can just copy the db indeed.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Then you need to run the migration. If using CM, click on migrate the DB in&lt;BR /&gt;the Hue service.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;If not using CM, you will have to run these commands:&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;./build/env/bin/hue syncdb&lt;BR /&gt;./build/env/bin/hue migrate&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;A href="http://gethue.com/hue-api-execute-some-builtin-commands/" target="_blank"&gt;http://gethue.com/hue-api-execute-some-builtin-commands/&lt;/A&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;</description>

      <description>CM will run the upgrade automatically for Hue. So I would try to just stop&lt;BR /&gt;Hue, switch the DBs and restart Hue&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;</description>
