If I'm setting up a cluster, which does not have an HBASE use case, but I want to configure Ambari Metrics in distributed mode, is there a guideline as to how many region servers I should have?

Yes, I did start there, and I searched these forums, but I couldn't find the answer to my question. I didn't see anything that suggested the number of region servers to use.

Currently Ambari Metrics deploys 1 HBase RegionServer, distributed mode only means the RS writes to HDFS. Collector HA with multi-node HBase RS is currenty beign worked on.
