Does Cloudera VM provide Scala development environment for writing Scala code using Cassandra?

Hi,

Does Cloudera VM provide Scala development environment for writing Scala code using Cassandra?

Can we use Eclipse to use Scala and what should we do to use Eclipse for Scala?

Although I can use interactive mode of scala for executing scala code which uses cassandra.

As I am new to Scala, please help me.

No, in the sense that the VM is not a development tool or environment.
It's a miniature cluster. Cassandra is not part of CDH, so I don't
think CDH would have anything to do with Cassandra.

You can use Eclipse to write Scala code for anything, sure. But this
is also unrelated to CDH.

fwiw, here's a link to a github + docker image for Spark + Cassandra (+lots of other goodies) development:

unfortunately, vim is the most-advanced dev tool included with this setup.  :)
