sqoop with oozie error log

Hi,
I am really frustrated with oozie logs. It doesn't throw proper error information. whatever mistake i made it always throw following message

Main class [org.apache.oozie.action.hadoop.SqoopMain], exit code [1]

I enabled "Trace" log level in cloudera admin page. But still no useful information i found.

can please tell me is there any other way to debug the oozie job?

Re: sqoop with oozie error log

Yes, oozie logs and debugging are a PITA. Oozie launches a container to launch all actions within a job and this is the log that that error comes from. And it is a challenge to get each action to report back to that container (it isn't an AM container and is separate from the other jobs laumched).

Your best bet is to find the job outside of oozie. Either in the RM you or using the yarn command to review the logs for the job that actual ran the action within the oozie job.

Re: sqoop with oozie error log

The RM UI should be http(s)://<rm_hostname>:8088 (or 8090 if SSL).

For the command use yarn --help to get a list of commands and options.
