Import Table Creation Error through SQOOP into HIVE

Hi,

I am trying to import the SQL Table into HIVE using SQOOP HIVE Create table command but keep getting the following error message. Could you please advise how to address this and the solution.

Caused by: com.microsoft.sqlserver.jdbc.SQLServerException: The driver could not establish a secure connection to SQL Server by using Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) encryption. Error: "Server chose TLSv1, but that protocol version is not enabled or not supported by the client.". ClientConnectionId:33072619-2633-499d-b386-2544758d395b
at com.microsoft.sqlserver.jdbc.SQLServerConnection.terminate(SQLServerConnection.java:2400)
at com.microsoft.sqlserver.jdbc.TDSChannel.enableSSL(IOBuffer.java:1762)

Caused by: javax.net.ssl.SSLHandshakeException: Server chose TLSv1, but that protocol version is not enabled or not supported by the client

Thanks

Re: Import Table Creation Error through SQOOP into HIVE

It looks like that SqlServer has SSL enabled, what's the connections string you used to connect to SqlServer? Did you pass the SSL flag? Can you share the full sqoop command?

Re: Import Table Creation Error through SQOOP into HIVE

Apologies for this delay. I am using the following command to ingest the data into HIVE table directly by connecting to SQL Server .

sqoop import --connect 'jdbc:sqlserver://sqlservername.com:1433;databaseName=Database' --username User --password password1 --driver com.microsoft.sqlserver.jdbc.SQLServerDriver --table Data --hive-table Database.Data --create-hive-table --hive-import --warehouse-dir /user/hive/warehouse/data -m 4

Can you please advise any issue with this command?

Thanks
