Where is the documentation?

In order to effectively use Hive, we need proper documentation. However, most of the Hive documentation is in the form of examples. These examples usually do not meet our needs and because of a lack of a full sematnics of the system, this requires trial and error, which is time consuming. Can't you just grow up and provide proper documentation for whatever you release?

Re: Where is the documentation?

@Autom4te thank you for your candid feedback.  Would you be able to give us some more specific details?  For example, which docs are you specifically looking at?  We are happy to take a look at any docs we produce and consider suggestions to improve them, but we need to know something a little more specific.

Thank you,

Clint

Re: Where is the documentation?

For Hive that would be a complete specification of its behaviour like PostgreSQL has with its 2500+ pages PDF documentation.
